This first quote/image is from my favourite book of proverbs…well actually it’s my only book of proverbs but it’s definitely my favourite.
I spent a little while yesterday looking up quotes and comments, I was on the hunt for inspirational and wise ones. There were loads, but one that I found mentioned how you feel better after a sneeze. Now I’m sure this wasn’t a proverb, and it annoyed me a little but at the same time I liked it.
The only reason a little part of me didn’t like it was because I was sure they’ve never had allergies, once one sneeze gets through all the rest come out at the same with a punch (not a real punch, I really would hate sneezing then). Cue; ‘OMG Roxanne are you alright? Have you been crying? What’s wrong?’, ‘No I’m fine my eyes are watering because I just sneezed, nothings wrong.’, ‘Oh’.
I really like the ‘No standing, only dancing’ image, makes me imagine people walking up to that section and then doing a little disco shimmy across there and then back to walking again.

For my bright yarn

This week apart from taking store update photos (there will be a store update by the end of the week) I’ve been working my crochet skills, and have used my bright orange yarn. I love the colour but hadn’t found a proper use for it apart from bows. I’ll warn you that they’re bright and they’re not ashamed of it, I like them a lot.
Hope you like these new lovelies. Now I’m off to: make things, buy things and get my teeth drilled. I’m not looking forward to the teeth thing.

Spying on homes again

Today I have been sewing like a crazy person and seem to have misplaced my brain. It feels a little fried, but I’m working on a store update for tomorrow. I’m happy that I’ve got quite a bit to add to Etsy and the online store. Need to take photos of everything now.
Anyway, looking at these homes has made me feel better and a bit more human. They look so cosy. Time for coffee now.

Who lives in a house like this

…not me.
Peering through the keyholes of other person’s home would generally be frowned on, also be a little weird. Not to mention difficult, you wouldn’t see much. So before you imagine me trying to spy into houses by kneeling in front of a keyhole trying desperately to see something interesting, I don’t…but I’ll curtain twitch. I am so happy that the people on the other side of the keyhole like to show off their gorgeous homes.
Just an extra image of a workspace, it fits into two of my obsessions. A home office and storage solution. I have a lot of things that need a storage solution, or need to be sent away never to return (the scary clear out).
I like how they have cleverly used a tiny amount of space, even if it is a bit claustrophobic.
This is how I store my hundreds of pens. In old mugs, tin cans and ceramic yogurt pots (In france I got a yogurt and it came in a ceramic pot!).
I want crate shelves like this, it looks so pretty!
Speaking of pretty…look at the amount of pink in this shot.

{SOURCE} – wish this was mine!
The great thing about the internet, that I love, is we get to be harmlessly and openly nosy, we can read someone’s tweets or view photo libraries. It doesn’t seem, or feel, wrong to do a little virtual curtain twitching. I can easily get lost for hours wading through lots of different blogs and flickr photostreams, I mainly search for craft related things. I enjoy it because I feel a connection to it and I like to see other peoples passions.
{SOURCE} – and that this was mine!
I especially love viewing images of craft studios. I have fantastical impression in my mind that most crafters have an amazing and creative studio space to work in. It’s great when I find images that prove that I’m right.
Also though, another part of me lusts after these amazingly creative studio spaces because I wish mine was that way. Sadly my studio space doesn’t fit into the amazing category, so you won’t find mine here. I have to admit that while I have some cool posters on my walls, this is all marred by the hideous carpet + curtains + door. Well the curtains would be easy to resolve but I sort of don’t want to make new curtains because I don’t really like curtains. Silly, I know. Maybe I will be converted soon.
