I like these quotes

I’ve been slowly working my way through a book of quotes from lots of different famous and well known authors and philosophers. I really like the book, it makes me happy reading it.

Last night I noticed that it was published in the 50s, which is amazing. This little battered and bruised old book has got a firm place in my bookshelf.

Below are two quotes I’ve picked so far that I really like.

“Love in our hearts shall grow mighty and strong,
Through crosses, through sorrows, through manifold wrong.” (Longfellow)

“Speak clearly if you speak at all;
Carve every word before you let it fall.” (O. W. Holmes)
